CSMC's own Amphoryx is one of five finalists in the Willamette Angel Conference competition, competing for more than $200,000 seed money. More than 40 startups from Oregon and Southwest Washington applied to be in the competition, but only Amorphyx and four ventures from the Portland area made the initial cut.
The other finalists are:
- DesignMedix, which develops drugs to overcome drug resistance in multiple diseases.
- Green Zebra Grocery, a convenience store concept for healthy eaters.
- LanguageTwin, a student-to-student video chat program for foreign language classrooms.
- Sonivate Medical, a new imaging technology for the ultrasound market.
